pretty cool attempts at re-designs, but not really a big fan of this one. the strike-through with the ball kind of looks like a phallic symbol when not paired with the player silhouette. and the silhouette looks a little too detailed. i would take it out of the design all togehter when thinking about where you would apply this logo to (i.e. embroideries, patches, uniforms, etc.) what made the old school "P" logo so damn cool is that it was instantly identifiable if you were watching a pacers game on even the smallest of television sets. it was simple, it had personality and it caught your eye. i just feel the typeface you used isn't as strong as the previous logos

Love it. Excellent use of negative space, although at first I didn't see the bell – seems obvious now, but I saw an approximate outline of Africa or a heart shape...weird.

I am a life-long New Orleanian and really like your redesign for the Hornets. The "fleur de bee" is awesome, of course, but yours is a vast improvement over the retooled hornet bouncing a basketball.

Love the logo. Like the other commenters have said though, SF is "The City" to everyone in the area. We rarely call it San Francisco and never refer to it by any of the other lame nicknames.

I did think about making the bell more realistic, like the phillies logo- http://static.desktopnexus.com/thumbnails/205708-bigthumbnail.jpg

I guess it got in the way of the white 6 on the bottom so I decided to keep it simple.

The best ones are the ones with the blue band covering the one star as it seems to represent "Pennsylvania's star" in the ring of 13.
